Gender-affirming cosmetic tattoos are cosmetic or paramedical tattoos that are often used as a tool to aid transgender and gender non-conforming people, whilst undergoing medical transition.
The gender affirming cosmetic tattoo project is non-profit project, with most treatments offered at a “pay what you can” or “costs covered” rate, with some of the more time consuming treatments offered heavily discounted by the artist.

SCAR CAMOUFLAGE
Following gender-affirming surgery, scars will occur and can often leave you feeling flawed and lacking confidence. Scar camouflage is a long-term solution achieved through infusion of pigment into scar tissue.
We can smooth and relax scars to even out texture and leave the scar less taut. This is achieved through micro-needling and is included within the scar camouflage package price.
Our paramedical tattooist can also help you with areola reconstruction if you were left with an incomplete areola post surgery.
For best results scars should be at least 1 year old and not show redness.

HYPER-REALISTIC BROWS
Eyebrows are a key facial feature that frame the face and play a powerful role in communication and aesthetics. Our talented artists can generate gender-affirming brows through various techniques and hair strokes, creating a more masculine or feminine appearance.
Are you wanting to serve a flirtatious femme fatale brow? Our talented artists can give you just that with a fluffy, styled and defined shape.
Or perhaps you want something more rowdy? We love creating a bold and boisterous brow via thicker, unruly hair strokes.

AREOLA RECONSTRUCTION
Areola tattooing, also referred to as Medical Tattooing, is a highly specialised tattooing skill, most commonly known for reconstructing and enhancing the nipple/areola. This can be done by adding shape, increasing size or boosting the colour.
This is a non-invasive procedure to create a natural appearance and is far less painful than nipple reconstruction surgery with a much shorter healing period.
Whether it is a female-to-male top surgery or a male-to-female top surgery, 3D nipple tattoos can play an important role in completing the operation and giving your new breasts or chest the desired size, colour, and shade.
LIP BLUSH & NEUTRALISATION
Lip blush and neutralisation is a very popular cosmetic procedure here at Novacane. It's an excellent option for feminizing the face or neutralising lip pigmentation. Another amazing step towards looking in the mirror and feeling more at home in your body.
FACIAL MICROPIGMENTATION
Through various techniques, we can help create a fuller, thicker and dense moustache. Or, we can help resemble the appearance of stubble by tattooing tiny dots around the mouth area.
The finished results will look very natural and no will know the difference unless you choose to tell them.
BEAUTY MARKS & FRECKLES
Beauty marks and freckles are another tool we like to offer to help clients feel more at home within themselves. This is a treatment that is offered to all and is great way to enhance your beauty, right down to the finer details like a beauty mark or freckles.
EYELINER & LASHLINE ENHANCEMENT
Eyeliner/eyelash enhancements subtly add definition and colour to your lash line. This treatment can create the appearance of a thicker lash whilst widening and lifting the eye.
This treatment will feminise the face and make the eyes ‘pop’, leaving you with an everyday, waterproof make-up look.
Scalp Micropigmentation
Scalp Micropigmentation is used to restore hair confidence by delicately implanting dots into the scalp. SMP can create the illusion of a structured, more defined hairline.
Alternatively, by depositing the pigments underneath your existing head of hair we can add density, creating a thicker, luscious look. Results are always undetectable and very natural.

Whilst all our artists are LGBTQ+ welcoming, Lucy offers a “pay what you can” service as part of the GA Project.
